Integrated Web Based Hajj Management Information System (HMIS)

HMIS is a Management Information System (MIS) system for Hajj of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA). All the Hajj regulations and conventions are managed for pilgrims through using this MIS system. This system make reduces time on paper processing and enhances to other government agencies in managing their works by regarding Hajj and providing a better assistance to pilgrims. This MIS system is used for managing the total pilgrimage period of private and government registered pilgrims. The entire hajj journey with effective use of IT facilitate in managing the hajj agencies, immigration police, airlines and other stakeholders with required management services; like as approval, financial management, travel plan, movements, visa lodgment, flight schedule, house allocation, lost Pilgrim, luggage management, medical service and so on.

Project Details:

As one of the five key pillars in Islam, Hajj is a requirement for all physically and financially able Muslims to perform at least once in their lifetime. Every year, large number of pilgrims go to Mecca for performing hajj from Bangladesh. This system plays a vital role in Dhaka and KSA like smoother operation to minimize the complexity of the procedure of Hajj, beside reducing time on paper processing, enhancing other government agencies in managing their works and providing a best assistance to the large pilgrims. This HMIS system has several service features like as; online visa lodgment for Government and other agencies’ pilgrims, online haj application submission and registration, pre-registration, pilgrim database & information management, lost pilgrim management, optical character reader based online visa lodgment, Flight Schedule, House Allocation Information Management, MIS Reporting and many more. Besides these, the system has google map generated hajj Guide Mobile App., and HMIS Mobile Apps. During the period of Hajj, 24-hour help desk & helpline support remain available for pilgrims. This hajj system has handled approximately 1,058,033 pilgrims till the date end of hajj.
