Turn-Key Solution which is a type of system built end-to-end for the stakeholders for the Online Security Clearance System (OSCS). The system has been implemented for the Investors and foreign nationals in Bangladesh. Through the system, the security clearance for the potential foreign employees and investors in Bangladesh has been done online for issuing and extension of their work permit through respective Government agencies. The project is aiming to encourage the foreign investors as the work permit issuing process will be faster and easier. The database of working foreign nationals in Bangladesh has been used by different stakeholders like NBR, Bangladesh Bank to easily handle their part in respect of these work permits. There are other stakeholders of this OSCS system such as Board of Investment Development Authority (BIDA), SB (Special Branch), BD Police, NSI (National Security Intelligence) BD who have rights, shares, claims or interests concerning the system to meet their needs and expectations.

Project Details:

The foreign investor and other applicants submit their service request online through BIDA, BEPZA, NGO Bureau for work permit, Visa Recommendation, Liaison Office etc. During submission the system generates a Tracking ID, so that applicants can track their applications status. After receiving these applications, MoHA sends these to various agencies like SB, NSI, DIP, NBR, Bangladesh Bank etc. for security clearance and other formalities and these agencies inquiry applicant’s documents and send feedback to MoHA through OSCS system. Based on security agencies' feedback, MoHA gives approval for Work Permit, Visa and Liaison Office etc.
